Singing for Fun

On these dark winter days we are all looking for something fun and uplifting to do. If you look after a friend or family member with a long term illness or disability you might like to join Singing for Fun sessions on Friday mornings from 11-12.30pm. You do not need to have any previous singing experience or be able to read music, just a desire to join in and connect.

Iona Sawtell, a member of the Natural Voice Network is leading the sessions. She says, “Singing is uplifting, inspiring and heart-warming. We will learn a variety of songs from around the world, in the original languages in a fun and relaxed atmosphere.  When we sing together over zoom we cannot all sing in time together, but you will be able to enjoy harmony singing as you will be able to hear my voice, and sing along with recordings of different parts. You can choose to sing along with me or to sing a harmony and nobody else will be able to hear you so for those who feel self-conscious about your voice it is an ideal situation to have a go.”
