Powys iCare Card / Young Carers Card

Would a card that identifies you as a Carer or a young carer help you?

If so, the Powys iCare card may be for you.

Carers often have to:

Pick up prescriptions for the person they care for
Collect additional food for their loved ones
Make essential trips, just like paid care workers
Make calls in school time

The ID could ensure you get priority treatment in shops and pharmacies.

Get well deserved discounts with the iCare Card

Carers who are registered with Credu can get an iCare Card. This gives you the following discounts at the moment, with more in development:

Freedom Leisure- 50% reduction on public gym & swim sessions. This does NOT include memberships – please contact your local Leisure Centre if you have any queries.

Free entry for accompanying carer.

Theatr Brycheiniog: Brecon

Offers a concessionary rate for Carers when offered on shows. Carers must request discount when booking, be with the cared for and present card at show.

CADW sites across Wales

Disabled individuals get free entry and their accompanying carer also gets free entry.

Dan Yr Ogof

Disabled and carer entry for the same price as a standard child entry.

Applying for an I Care Card

To apply for your card by email – Contact carers@credu.cymru, attaching your photograph.

Please also include your name and contact telephone number.

To apply for your card by post – Please send us a statement saying:

I would like to apply for an iCare Card and I have enclosed a passport-style photograph.
